Advantages: Cheap Price. Tasty Sausage With Decent Meat Content. Large Tin.

Disadvantages: Quite A Lot For One Person To Eat. Possibly Better Shared.

I have always loved tinned beans & sausages. The sausages in the always have a flavour of their own which you can't seem to find anywhere else. I still buy them to this day & I currently buy Tesco's Value Beans & Sausage.

The Price fluctuates on these regularly but they are usualy priced somewhere between 35p & 55p, although the price on the internet right now is 35p. The Tin has 567 grams of produce inside.

After seeing a recent TV show which showed that meat content in ready meals & tinned meals can be quite low, I had a look at the ingredients. The sausages are made from Pork & contain over 40% meat. This isn't at all bad & some sausages bought on their own are similar in meat content. Not bad at all. The full list of ingredients are:

Haricot Beans (41%), Water, Tomato Purée (16%), Pork Sausages (12%), Sugar, Modified Maize Starch, Salt, Sweetener (Saccharin), Onion Powder, Paprika, Flavouring.

Pork Sausages contain: Pork (48%), Water, Pork Fat, Wheat Flour, Pork Rind, Salt, Sugar, Mustard Powder, Ginger, Pepper, Coriander, Nutmeg, Sage.

What can I say about Baked Beans. They are no different, for better or worse than any other brand. The tomato sauce has a very light flavour of tomato & is sweet, but not too sweet it's not nice.

I would recommend this product to anyone who likes tinned beans & sausages. I think that the product is no worse than any of the big named brands that you can buy & the sausages are still really nice.

Summary: A good item from Tesco's value range & a great buy.
