I was drawn to these a couple of weeks ago when I was shopping. I love my biscuits, but usually choose fancy chocolate-covered varieties. This time though, I was looking for some traditional biscuits to keep in the cupboard as I have recently rediscovered tea after years of only drinking coffee. I used to love dunking a couple of biscuits in my cuppa in the morning, and thought that these would be ideal. For £1.09, I was getting a LOT of biscuits. Bargain! The packaging was the usual Tesco Value simple blue and white, with a clear photo of a plate of each of the biscuit varieties. Inside the pack you get 5 packets of biscuits (1xBourbon Cream, 1xNice, ... Read the complete review

Review of Tesco Value Biscuit Barrel Biscuits **The product** What is it? A simply packaged collection of everyday family biscuits from the Tesco Value range. The packaging is the usual Tesco Value white wrapper with the Tesco logo and product description in red and blue. The package contains five packs of biscuits, one each of bourbon creams, custard creams, nice and two packs of malted milk biscuits. A veritable biscuit barrel selection! The biscuits are simply wrapped in clear cellophane within the outer packaging, no fancy frill or labelling, just biscuits! The biscuits are of a very good quality in my ... Read the complete review

I had a bit of a panic on one day as I had friends coming over but had no biscuits to offer them (its a standing joke where the host always has to have biscuits) so it was a dash to my local Tesco to pick some up. Now I'm one of these people who stands in the shop looking at all of the selections and not being able to decide which ones to get, then I spotted the Tesco biscuit barrel pack, its a pack of five different types of biscuit - Custard Cream, Bourbon Cream, Nice & Malted Milk Biscuits (2 packs) and it only cost 68 pence, to good to be true I hear you say well that's what I thought so I bought these and some others just incase they tasted ... On a recent shopping trip, I found the Tesco Value Biscuit Barrel that seemed like a good addition to my already huge list of favourite biscuits (its more like the stock list that supermarkets keep of all of the biscuits that they stock). I really like the idea of having a variety of different types of biscuit in one product, because it gives me a sense of being able to choose from a range of biscuits, instead of being limited to one type. The packaging was quite plain with blue sides, a photo of the biscuits and the Tesco branding in the colour scheme of red and blue. Although the packaging was basic, I have learned that it is extremely hard to ... Read the complete review

As you may have read in my previous reviews. In a bid to try and save some money I have been experimenting buying the value and own brands of shops rather than the more expensive brands. I have some good things and some bad things, these are definitely a good thing! I thought to myself as I was looking down the biscuit isle in Tesco, a biscuits a biscuit surely. I wouldn't have thought the taste could vary to much from the top brands could it? .. I was right! Firstly, and the best bit. You get 5 packets of biscuits for I think I paid 68p! Now if you was to buy a branded name of biscuits you would be lucky to get one packet for the price of that ... Read the complete review
