Advantages: Big size loaf

Disadvantages: Might not have the brand image of other breads

I never understand why peope go for the expensive kingsmill or hovis bread. At the end of the day bread is bread! and tesco value bread is excellent because its not only excellently priced at 57 p per loaf, it is thick finely cut slices, as oppose to the generally stingy slices of kingsmill and hovis that are just not satisfying, especially if you use bread as toast for your early morning breakfast. It makes absolutely no sense to pay around £1.50 for a loaf of hovis that not only has less slices but more thinner slices. Bread is one of those basic products that is essentially unchangable, regardless of brand! Tesco are renowned for producing quality products that they make, such as their sandwiches and bakery section. The bread is no different. The whole misconception of tha brand image plays a big part in what bread product people choose. Would one rather have to keep going back to the supermarket to buy more bread? or just simply buy 2 loafs of tesco value bread that will last more then a week at a cut of the price.

Summary: Tesco value bread - just as good as hovis

I agree, I think if this bread was in a pretty blue bag, with a brand name on the side, people would have no bothers with it...! :-D I think this bread is fine, and we use it all the time.

The most disgusting bread ever made. Not fit for human consumption if you ask me.
