Advantages: cheap

Disadvantages: not very good quality or flavour

Although this is a value product, I'm not entirely sure it lives up to the other brands. While the packaging serves its function and does keep the bread fresh while in store, it isn't quite as visually appealing as the hovis or kingsmill brands which have tantalising visuals to accompany their products.

The taste of the product is fine, but nothing special. If you were going to have a plain sandwich with just a bit of ham in then I wouldn't recommend this bread because it isn't quite substantial, but if it was part of a pretty full sandwich or as some toast, you would be okay.

Often you will find you need to eat twice as much to get the same effect as the superior brands, which is slightly counter productive, but is still pretty cheap when you consider that it's a fraction of the price.

The taste of the loaf is somewhat airy and it doesn't really give the same sort of flavour as a denser bread, but as I said before, it's okay with other flavourings. The other issue I have had with this is that it does tend to go stale very quickly, even if you do keep it airtight, which might be because of the amount of the air in it.

On the whole this is a good economy loaf, and excellent if you have a lot of sarnies to make, but it isn't so substantial.

Summary: good if you're on a budget
