Description: Manufacturer: Tesco / Type: Pizza

... on the box, and by the price too, there only 71p for a decent sized pizza that can do two meals with a bit of a side dish of chips or something too. The pizza has a medium thickness base which is good, I like both thin and thick bases so a medium one is pretty good for me. On top of that is the cheese, just one kind of cheese however it melts well and covers the pizza pretty well too. Though perhaps there could be just a little more cheese as I have had them in the past where some parts are a bit bare when cooked. T...more

Premium Review Tesco Value Cheese & Tomato Pizza: Junk food at its best! (518 words)

I'm sitting here looking at a value pizza, trying desperately not to go cook it... :) There are value pizza options in the tesco value range, all cheese and tomato. There's a frozen pizza (268g and 71p), a large fresh pizza (480g and 99p) and an individual size (165g and 46p). I find the mini pizzas are just enough for one person, the frozen pizzas aren't quite enough for two people unless there are other things on the plate, and the large fresh pizza will feed two people or three with a side dish. My personal favourite is the mini pizza, it reminds me of birthday parties when I was a kid. *PACKAGING* The packaging above is for the frozen ...  Read the complete review

I would say that we have pizza for dinner in our house at least once a week. If forms the basis of a cheap, filling meal that is flexible - and one that my children have always been happy to wolf down, without any argument.. For example, you can serve a pizza whole as it is, with nothing to accompany it - just run the pizza cutter through, and plonk it on the plate. You can divide it into two or into quarters, and serve with some chips and your teenagers will love you. If you have unexpected friends brought home with your teenagers, cut into smaller wedges, add a few extra chips and a tin of beans and your pizza will go further still, and if the ...  Read the complete review

I suppose I shouldn't really be writing this review as INHO my husband makes the best pizzas in the world apart from Dr Oetker of course! However, not having shopped for a while & hubby at work, I found a Tesco cheese & tomato pizza tucked away in the freezer so decided to share it with my youngest daughter who's very fussy with ther food. The box is as shown in the photo & weighs 480g & I think I paid about £1 for it a few weeks ago. The nutritional information is as shown on the front of the box plus there's additional info on the reverse as well as ingredients, storage & cooking directions. The pizza frozen pizza ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Not the most tasty pizza around. (424 words)

I needed a cheap meal and I needed it fast, I was making a meal for my relatives who were coming over and was minding my two younger sisters, at the last minute I realized that the kids couldn't eat the spicy Indian meal I was making as all they eat is Pizza and chips of course! So off I rushed to Tesco and cringing at the Pizza prices, I grabbed two Tesco value Pizzas and figured I could dress them up at home with some extra cheese and sausage. So I got back home flipped on the oven and waited for it to heat up. This pizza does not come in a box, but rather on a Styrofoam base, wrapped in plastic with the Tesco Value logo in the center. It ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Value Cheese & Tomato Pizza: BARGAIN BUY (403 words)

After reading a review about this product by the writer I Am Joy, I picked up one of these on my weekly visit to tesco. I had tried Asda's basic Pizza before, but not Tesco. I'm looking on ways to save money just now, and am fond of trying the Basic brand items, as i've found some good products from them. This range is part of Tesco's Value range, which is the cheapest label in tesco stores. This Pizza is available at Tesco for the bargain price of 75p. It is located in the Freezer section. The box isn't that exciting looking, but who cares about how the box looks. The box has blue on it and a picture of the Pizza on the front. To be honest the picture of the ...  Read the complete review
