Advantages: cheap & tasty

Disadvantages: not keen on base. would prefer more topping

I suppose I shouldn't really be writing this review as INHO my husband makes the best pizzas in the world apart from Dr Oetker of course!

However, not having shopped for a while & hubby at work, I found a Tesco cheese & tomato pizza tucked away in the freezer so decided to share it with my youngest daughter who's very fussy with ther food.

The box is as shown in the photo & weighs 480g & I think I paid about £1 for it a few weeks ago. The nutritional information is as shown on the front of the box plus there's additional info on the reverse as well as ingredients, storage & cooking directions.

The pizza frozen pizza was sitting on a styrofoam circle which was a little offputting but I cooked it for 15 minutes as directed & it smelled quite nice.

It came out evenly cooked but didn't have much of a cheese nor tomato topping & the base looked a bit pale & unappetising in my opinion although my daughter just tucked straight in.

It tasted better than I'd expected although I wasn't impressed by the texture of base which to me seemed a bit dry & tasteless. The rest of it tasted OK though & it was filling & tasty.

My daughter enjoyed it but wasn't too sure when I asked if she wanted me to buy more.

To be fair, for the price, I think it's a good enough buy & pizza is defintitely a matter of taste as we all know. Some like thin/ thick bases whilst others like stone-based - others like lots of topping & few herbs whilst others like the opposite. Personally, if I was buying some again I'd add more cheese, extra tomato & a few extra herbs before cooking.

For the price I'd recommend trying it as, to be honest, I was expecting it to be less good than it actually turned out to be!
