The tesco value cheese and tomato pizza is basically what it says on the tin, I do usually get a make in pizzas or buy fresh ones however I have tried these from time to time, mainly because of the price and also because they didn't look too bad, and I wasn't wrong either.

They are a very basic pizza, probably to be expected by the value logo on the box, and by the price too, there only 71p for a decent sized pizza that can do two meals with a bit of a side dish of chips or something too.

The pizza has a medium thickness base which is good, I like both thin and thick bases so a medium one is pretty good for me. On top of that is the cheese, just one kind of cheese however it melts well and covers the pizza pretty well too. Though perhaps there could be just a little more cheese as I have had them in the past where some parts are a bit bare when cooked.

The pizza when cooked is really crispy, with nice melted cheese and the tomato base covering really comes through well too. These are great pizzas if your on a budget and just want to put one in for yourself however if I'm having pizza with company then I do tend to buy the more expensive fresh ones.

Summary: a good back to basics pizza
