... but are far more expensive. Overall, the Tesco Value Chicken Breast Fillets are very good value, ideal for use in curry's and sauces, and even though the quality is not the best the price is second to none. I will continue to buy these fillets and would recommend them to anyone on a tight budget after some cheap ingredients. I give these fillets 4 stars out of 5, missing out on the top marks only due to the lower quality of the product. Happy cooking....more

Premium Review Tesco Value Chicken Breast Fillets: Cheaper Chicken (347 words)

In my weekly trip to Tesco to do my main shop in an aim to fill the cupboards, fridge and the freezer, and something that's always on my list is the Tesco Value Chicken Breast Fillets. I have to admit, they are not the best quality chicken breast fillets on the market, to be perfectly honest they are probably amongst the worst. They are very very large fillets and it seems as if they could have been injected with water and protein to enlarge them, however, chicken is chicken and they taste fine. In my own opinion the chicken breast fillets are best used as additives to other meals, I often dice them up and use them with a curry or sweet and sour sauce ...  Read the complete review

Tescos value chicken breasts. Usually purchase the tescos value products as am trying to cut down and save more money, and am usually looking for a great value for money product. Whilst popping into Tescos for something to cook for tea for myself and my partner, spotted these value chicken breasts. They come in a basic clear plastic see through bag, are skinless and are the nicest cut of the chicken in my opinion, contains approximately six pieces of chicken breats, which i have brought to make a curry with. My Recipe ********** I cut the chicken breasts into ...  Read the complete review

These chicken breasts are called value and VALUE they are! At first I wasn't to sure about buying these as I don't mind buying stripey goods, but I thought the chicken was taking a bit of a chance. It might be chewy, it could have tiny bits of bone in or just taste awful, but was I in for a big surprise. I was looking for some chicken ,but could only see these ones in the freezer. The shop assistant saw me standing there just looking for a different choice. She came over and said that they were very nice as she brought them all the time, trying not to offend her I picked up a bag and wandered of to the checkout,(thinking I bet they are ...  Read the complete review

We eat loads of chicken in our house so when I was in Tesco I brought 2 bags of these frozen Value chicken breasts because I knew we had some chicken stews and stuff planned for this week. The chicken breasts you get in this bag are massive and loads bigger than the ones I usually buy from the butcher down the road. You have to defrost them before cooking and it's done by weight so you might get a different amount of chicken breasts in every bag because one of them I have got here has got 5 in and the other has got 6. The chicken has got added water in it and on the bag it says this is for succulence but that just means to make them look bigger and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Value Chicken Breast Fillets: Breasts that won't break the bank! (311 words)

I ran out of my usual 'cheapy' breasts that I buy from Asda so had to pick up some of these from Tesco instead. The breasts cost me around£2.50 and I got four breasts in the bag. They are frozen and can be cooked straight from the freezer which is quite handy if you are forgetful like me and don't remember to take them out to defrost. The breasts cook very easily although I do like to turn mine over half way through or I find one side ends up being a little tougher than the other. If I am making a roast then I will leave them plain but sometimes I will coat them in garlic and lemon or a bit of spices or herbs to make them a bit tastier. ...  Read the complete review
