Advantages: Tastes great - cheap - really cheap.

Disadvantages: Tacky packaging - but there again, I wasn't going to eat that!!!

***TESCO VALUE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE***

In these difficult financial times, I though it was my responsibility - no my DUTY to bring this product to your attention. As a lover of all things chocolate, this one certainly is worth trying.

I requested this to be added a while ago and so I have had to go and buy some more to make sure I get this review right. The things we have to do...

***What it is like and overall opinion***

Well this is a value four pack of chocolate mousses, that come in brown pots with the usual tesco blue and white value packaging. Each pot contains 100 calories with 3.3g of fat (2.8g of which are saturated). The sell by date gives you roughly 2 weeks to eat it.

The mousse is light and fluffy and is a pale brown colour. It is a similar consistency to angel delight - if you have ever sampled this sort of thing.

It has a pleasant aroma and just melts in your mouth as it is very light and smooth. It has a lovely true chocolatey taste and by that, I mean it is slightly bitter, not too sweet and sickly. It isn't very filling, but who cares, after all I am not reviewing a pie!! However, it is a nice light end to a meal and is a good alternative to a yoghurt.

In fact, I think you could even get away with taking it out of it's container and putting it in a fancy dish with some cream etc, if you wanted to make it a bit posh!

It is not suitable for those with nut allergy.

They would also be good to put into lunch boxes, instead of the same old desserts. (With fruit of course)

Obviously only available from Tesco. Now for the good part - the price - the four pack costs, wait for it..... a grand sum of 30p!!! I might seem a bit gushing with this review, but I can't believe that each pot costs less than 8p and still tastes great!

I know that this is not the most healthy dessert, but who cares!! Sometimes we all fancy a bit of something that is bad for you.

I appreciate that this review is shorter than I would normally write, but there is only so much you can say about a mousse!

Anyway this is a value product worth giving a go! I hope this is of use to someone who has considered buying it in the past.

Summary: Great for someone on a tight budget - actually tastes lovely for the price.
