Advantages: Really nice biscuits.
Disadvantages: None.
I recently discovered Tesco sold my favourite biscuits for only 9p, I bought a packet of 10 Tesco Value Shortbread Biscuits and thought they were fantastic. However I should have known they would be nice because I have been buying Tesco Value Digestives and Tesco Value Custard Creams for a few years now.
I think Value products can either be great or as cheap tasting as they cost. When it comes to biscuits so far I have found that they are really good. It is mainly my children who eats biscuits in our house and to be honest I don't think they'll be complaining that the biscuits aren't McVities.
Tesco Value Custard Creams come in a 400g packet and you get two rows of biscuits. I am unsure exactly how many biscuits there are but about 40.
Custard Creams are a sandwich biscuit with a vanilla flavoured filling. I have tried custard creams from many different shops and these are up there with the best. The biscuits are crunchy and the cream filling tastes nice. I find these biscuits to be very moreish and I often want to eat more than one. These Custard Creams are also very popular with all of my children.
The biscuits cost just 30p and again like the Shortbread ones that works out at less than 1p a biscuit. What great value for a product that tastes so good.
Each biscuit (11.4g) contains:
60 calories
3.2g sugars
2.6g fat
1.6g saturates
salt - trace
So I don't think the biscuits are too bad for you and the perfect thing to have with a nice cup of tea.
Another great product from Tesco Value Range, it amazes me how there are so many more good value products about but I still seem to be spending more and more on food every week. At least with quality biscuits from Tesco Value I am saving a little bit of money.
Summary: Another good product from Tesco Value.
