I suffer from IBS and have days where I need something to eat that's got fat/calories in it, is easy to eat (i.e small) and will hopefully help to keep the sickness I get at bay and I find ginger nuts to be perfect for this. Tesco value ginger nuts come in a thick plastic wrapper and there are around 25 biscuits per packet. A ginger nut biscuit is made from wheat flour, ginger powder, sugar & palm oil and whilst the individual ingredients don't sound very nice when these have been mixed together and shaped in to a round ginger coloured biscuit it's absolutely delicious. There is just enough ginger flavouring for the entire biscuit to have the ... Read the complete review

I absolutely love dunking biscuits. To me theres nothing better than a good old fashioned cup of tea and some biscuits on the side just waiting to be dunked, and for me theres no better biscuit to dunk than Tesco Value Ginger Nuts! The tesco value range is the most basic range you can get. In general, you pay for what you get, so when I brought a pack of their Ginger Nuts I really wasn't expecting miracles, but I have to say I was quite surprised with the results. Each Ginger Nut is arond 4/5" in diameter and is a dark golden brown colour with little cracks across the top. When you bite into one (that hasn't been dunked) you find the biscuit ... I am not a massive biscuit eater and don't tend to keep any in the house, sometimes embarassing when people cal lin and you can only offer then a coffee! However, at work, we keep a biscuit tin, where we all takeit in turns to buy a packet of biscuits for the office, I often buy what ever is on offer but I have noticed that a firm favourite of mine as well as other work collegues is Tesco Value Ginger nuts. Tesco Value Ginger Nuts have a fantastic price of 34 pence a packet! As I said, I don't buy many packs of biscuits but I know from looking on the supermarkets sheleves that this is a great price. The packet is very simple in packaging and is 300g in ... Read the complete review

I recently tried some of Asda's Smart Price Ginger Nuts, which you may have read my review on. They were really unpleasant and I vowed never to buy them again. However I was curious as to whether all value brands of ginger nuts were as bad, so next time I was in Tesco I picked up some Tesco Value Ginger Nuts to try, compare, and of course review! The packaging for the Tesco Value Ginger Nuts isn't too bad. The biscuits come in a white packet with a photograph of tasty looking ginger biscuits on the front, and if it wasn't for the blue and red, well known Tesco Value logo then you probably wouldn't guess that these biscuits were from a cheap, basic ... Tesco Value Ginger Nuts are a pretty decent little biscuit. It surprised me because when I paid just 34p for a 300g packet, I was expecting to be disappointed. Lucky for me then that they turned out to be a bit on the tasty side. Tesco Value Ginger Nuts are obviously not a premium brand biscuit, and you can tell as much the second you open up the packet. Inside the cheap plastic wrapper, the biscuits sit looking a bit darker than I expect from a ginger nut. They smell nice and strongly though, so my first impressions of these were actually quite good. Eating them was a nice surprise too. I find that these make a good, sharp "crunch" ...
