My only complaint with it is that because the lid is a metal screw top it can become stuck sometimes, I have arthritis in my hands and if it's in a sticky mood then I have real problems. My latest purchase from the Tesco Value range was this Golden Syrup and at just 77p for a jar containing 680g of syrup I have to say it's one of the bargains of the range. I mainly use syrup for baking, although do on occasion stir a little into porridge or if I'm feeling particularly naughty I'll spread a couple of crumpets with it and allow the sticky syrup to melt through the hot crumpet. Yum! If I had to describe this product in one word, it would have to be..... Yum! I'm sure you have all tried golden syrup at one point but for those of you that haven't I will try and explain... Golden syrup is basically liquid sugar, it is very sweet and similar to honey except it has an obviously artificial taste to it. It is golden in colour, thick in texture and great in porridge! Golden syrup has many uses, it can be used in many recipes, especially things like flapjacks. It can also be used to sweeten up almost anything, similar to how you would use honey.
