Advantages: Surprisingly good for 9p...

Disadvantages: Not too substantial on their own.

If you're a student of any sort, there's a good chance that you've snacked on these noodles at least once in your student life, or at least contemplated it. To many, it's going to seem like not only scraping the bottom of the barrel, but turning the barrel upside down and shaking it so see what's left inside! Still, the phrase "you get what you pay for" couldn't be more true here, yet at 9p, these things really are a Godsend if you're on a budget tighter than a bass drum.

Ingrediants:
Noodles (92%) (Wheat Flour, Vegetable Oil, Modified Tapioca Starch, Water, Salt, Sugar, Stabiliser, Guar Gum, Garlic Powder), Seasoning (7%) (Salt; Chicken Extract, Yeast Extract, Sugar, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Ground Ginger, Turmeric, White Pepper, Dried Coriander, Dried Wakame)

Nutritional Information (per 100g):
Energy = 126 calories
Protein = 3.2g
Carbohydrate = 20,7g
Fat = 3.4g
Fibre = 0.9g
Sodium = 0.6g

Naturally, we'd all prefer Super Noodles, which are a bit more substantial and a whole lot tastier, but these value noodles are still great for saving a bit of cash if you're in financial straits which, if you're at Uni, is pretty damn likely. What's more, they take all of three minutes to cook, and so are great if you suddenly get a hunger pang, be it in the middle of the day, or at 3am as you stumble in from a bender.

Preparation is simple - boil some water on the hob, then throw the noodles in, and they'll loosen up in no time. Because I'm lazy and don't read instructions, I threw the chicken flavouring in the water and didn't bother to drain it when I ate it (when you're actually supposed to sprinkle the flavouring on once you've drained the water away). As disgusting as this my sound, it actually worked quite well - the water act as a sort of soup-like substance and make the whole thing a little more substantial. When I finally learned the "error" of my ways, I tried it the "proper" way and didn't find it so filling. Still, they're so disturbingly cheap that throwing two packs of noodles in the mix is hardly going to break the bank (unless you're really THAT broke, which, if you're buying these, let's face it, may well be a possibility!)

These noodles are extremely popular because of their price, and they are quite a versatile food stuff - you can have them with curry, or chips, or plenty of other things. I thoroughly recommend them if you're strapped for cash, as they will save you a TON.

Summary: Great for those on a shoestring budget
