... again they aren't as thick as the mother. The chocolate has a nice rippled motion over the top with a slight sheen to it and it's obviously milk chocolate. A few of the biscuits were a bit crumply around the edges as I started the packet but this was probably because of the way I packed them. The biscuits were a good texture and broke easily when my teeth sank into them. They soon went soggy in my mouth and the chocolate melted and mingled with the base. The biscuits were very tasty although you could tell that t...more

Premium Review Tesco Value Milk chocolate Digestives: NOT GOOD VALUE AT ALL (454 words)

One of the products that I have bought from the Tesco Value range was one that I thought was a bit of a waste of time. The Value range has a selection of biscuits available - both chocolate bar type biscuits as well as 'plain' biscuits. I have been trying out a few of these different biscuits recently to see if I can save a little money on my weekly shop when I am in Tesco. The biscuits I bought last week were the 'Tesco Value milk chocolate digestive biscuits'. They are in very plain packaging and it isn't at all eye catching or attractive. This is the case with most of the products in the Tesco Value range though. The packet is very plain looking as I ...  Read the complete review

Tesco Value Milk chocolate Digestives Description: Manufacturer: Tesco / Type: Biscuits Yesterday we sent someone from the office on a biscuit run to our local Tesco's with instructions to get among other types of biscuit (Jaffa Cakes in case you're interested!), some chocolate digestives. To be honest, we had expected him to return with the usual McVities ones but instead, he returned with a 300g pack of these, delighted that they had only cost £0.34. As with all basic ranges, the packaging on these biscuits is not very impressive. A plain white background, blue at either end and the Tesco value writing in red. I have recently ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Value Milk chocolate Digestives: Not so easy to digest digestives! (410 words)

I love biscuits and I don't mind buying cheapy biscuits cos 9 times out of 10 I actually enjoy them. So when I saw these priced at 33p a packet and I realised I hadn't tried them before I simply had to! The Packaging: White and blue plastic tube type of packet with a photograph of the biscuits on the front. I'm told in red, white and blue writing that they are Tesco 'Value' Milk Chocolate Digestive Biscuits, threre is an at a glance nutritional chart on there, the best before date is displayed, and the size is stated (300g). On the back of the packet I'm given a list of ingredients and allergy advice is listed, a full nutritional chart is given ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Value Milk Chocolate Digestives, are they worth it? (341 words)

I am a huge lover of digestive biscuits and normally i buy McVities milk chocolate biscuits but sometimes I try to save some money on my weekly shop. I decided to purchase Tesco own brand biscuits simply because they were cheaper .The price is fairly good compared to pricey McVities, only 33p for 300g pack (1.10 / kg). Packaging There is a tab towards the top ('Tear Here') but opening this packet was not easy - I damaged more than half of the biscuits, they are too fragile for my hands or there is something wrong with this packaging. Plastic foil is thin and does not protect biscuits as it should. In my opinion it is better to open this pack ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Value Milk chocolate Digestives: A Yummy Value Chocolate Digestive. (415 words)

I have a Tesco just a five minute walk away from me now so there really is no excuse for not having lots of lovely snacks and food stuffs in the house when guests drop by. I like to always ensure that the biscuit jar is kept well stocked with biscuits and cake bars. When I was browsing Tesco recently I saw these 'Value' Milk Chocolate Digestives for just 33p (for 300g) and just had to try a packet as even if they were nasty at that price it wouldn't matter too much to me. The biscuits come wrapped in a white & blue celophane and it's a long cylindrical shaped roll of biscuits. The packaging is cheap and thin and not very good at protecting the biscuits.
