Advantages: Inexpensive, Trustworthy ingredients, Suitable for kids

Disadvantages: None really, just slightly different to mini-milks in taste, and not in a bad way.

"A lolly-fiend's best friend."

These Mini-Milk-a-like lollies once made a brief appearence in ASDA, but it seems TESCO have taken them over now, as I'd been looking for them in ASDA for a while, only to come across them in my local TESCO.

Price:

At 75p, they're working out around 9p each. Which is just as well, seeing that you're likely to wolf a box down on the way home.

Flavours:

Although they could be a little softer and more realistic, the flavours are quite pleasant, about the right strength, and don't leave an unpleasant after taste (like the Sainsbury ones.)

Artificial? - Actually no.

Another reviewer mentioned that the chocolate flavour lolly tasted a little artificial to them. It tastes very similar to a cheap chocolate milkshake, and looking at the ingredients you can see why, since it's flavoured with Cocoa powder. They're actually my favourite flavour. The strawberry and vanilla are a little off the mark but still very pleasant, even if the "Flavouring" is not named (if it was appealing they'd no doubt print what it was.)
Ingredients:
Generally what you would expect to see, nothing scary apart from the emulsifiers and gums, but these are very common and well tried and tested to be harmless enough, in any case these are low down on the list in order of quantity, and you'll be pleased to know that milk (powder) is the number one ingredient!

Comparison to Walls 'Mini Milk':

While a little harder and not quite as creamy as the substantially more (than twice as) expensive Walls 'Mini Milk', these lollies are a little larger and what they lack in creaminess they make up by being more refreshing. You'll be surprised how refreshing they are, considering what they're made of.

Kids will love them. Adults too. Empty them out of that sad carton and there... you can't tell.

Summary: My favourite for a quick fix.
