... as 10p per pack. They are also suitable for freezing. The Pancakes can be eaten cold straight out of the pack or can be cooked a variety of ways. They have already been pre cooked though. They can be a little floppy & dry if you eat them straight out of the packet. Personally, I tend to cook them in the microwave. About 10 seconds ish on full per pancake is usually enough & this does a great job of making them softer & more like they have been freshly baked. The Pancakes don't have a lot of flavour....more

Premium Review Tesco Value Pancakes: Tesco Pancakes - Cheap but not nasty (273 words)

Tesco Value Pancakes are part of the striped "Value" range that you will find spread throughout the store. They tend to be the lowest priced item available in the product you are looking & therefore quite cheap. The Pancakes vary slightly in price but are usually between 25p or 30p. They are also reduced further as they approach their sell by date & can be purchased sometimes for as little as 10p per pack. They are also suitable for freezing. The Pancakes can be eaten cold straight out of the pack or can be cooked a variety of ways. They have already been pre cooked though. I usually like to give Noah something as well as his cereal in the morning because he is becoming very hungry lately. I get sick and tired of giving him toast so I try to mix it up a bit so I offer him crumpets and pancakes too. I picked these pancakes up whilst in Tesco's the other day. I have tried most of the supermarket brands and wondered how these would live up to the others. These cost me 28p for six pancakes which is around the same price as Asda, Morrisons and Sainsbury's. They come in a see through wrapper and they are resting on a piece of card which gives all of the product details. The pancakes are about he size of the palm of a hand ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Value Pancakes: DRY AND RUBBERY (364 words)

I love Pancakes and tried these ones last week. It was only after I read the review by Claribella that I thought I should write about them as well, but I think we came to the same conclusion pretty much. These are part of the huge selection of Tesco Value range, which is the cheapest range in the shop. It is a budget range, but i've found some good buys in this range. It never hurts to try cheaper products and you may find something that can save you a bit money, which is always good. These cost 27p for a pack of 6. The bakery brand in Tesco is nearly 60p for the same amount and they look the same behind the cellophane. The packaging is ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cheap Pancakes! (425 words)

I only brought these after reading so many BAD reviews about them, well they were good reviews but they all said how bad the pancakes were. They are only 29p for 6 so I thought I'd get some to see if they were as bad as all that. I've ate all 6 of them now and they're ok, a bit dry and rubbery but like anything you can improve them if you're careful about what topping you add to them. I've ate one dry straight out of the packet and that was like stale cake. It was very dry and hadn't got much flavour, it was so dry it made me cough! lol The others I toasted and had with different toppings and they weren't that mad and not much ...  Read the complete review

With the credit crunch and the economy being on a bit of a downer, as a family we have been watching, like many families, our pennies a bit more closely. It was with this view that when I saw Tesco Value Pancakes on a recent visit to their store that I thought I'd give them a try. The kids also like pancakes as well, so for a mere 29p I was sure to be on to a winner.................or maybe not. Usually of a morning I always put pancakes, crumpets etc onto the kitchen table. They usually go quite quick too. However when I bought these Tesco Value I was looked at, as if I'd gone bonkers. The first to try them was our four year old. He had his cold, with a bit ...  Read the complete review
