I love Pancakes and tried these ones last week. It was only after I read the review by Claribella that I thought I should write about them as well, but I think we came to the same conclusion pretty much.

These are part of the huge selection of Tesco Value range, which is the cheapest range in the shop. It is a budget range, but i've found some good buys in this range. It never hurts to try cheaper products and you may find something that can save you a bit money, which is always good.

These cost 27p for a pack of 6. The bakery brand in Tesco is nearly 60p for the same amount and they look the same behind the cellophane.

The packaging is alright for these. They look the same as the other Pancakes. They are wrapped in a cellophane wrapper and it has the writing on the pack. You can tell these are the Value ones as the branding is quite large and it stands out. The only colourings is a little blue and a long wide strip of red, which I think is not necessary.

To look at the Pancakes I think they look nice. They are thick enough and kind of look like Maple Pancackes. The smell of them is a nice Bakery scent and I like to eat Pancakes cold or sometimes bung them in the Microwave for approx 10 seconds so the butter melts nicely onto these. I only ever eat Butter on Pancakes, as that's how I like them the best.

Upon eating these I wasn't that impressed. They tasted dry and a little rubbery. Although they weren't that thick, they seemed to taste really thick, floury and chewy. I thought heating them up would improve them, which it did slightly, but they still tasted rubbery and also a bit stale although I had just opened the pack.

I will stick to the more expensive ones, as they are so much better. They taste fluffier and nice and sweet, whereas I couldn't taste much sweetness in these at all.

Not for me.
