Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Lots:- No Taste, Won't toast properly
With the credit crunch and the economy being on a bit of a downer, as a family we have been watching, like many families, our pennies a bit more closely. It was with this view that when I saw Tesco Value Pancakes on a recent visit to their store that I thought I'd give them a try. The kids also like pancakes as well, so for a mere 29p I was sure to be on to a winner.................or maybe not.
Usually of a morning I always put pancakes, crumpets etc onto the kitchen table. They usually go quite quick too. However when I bought these Tesco Value I was looked at, as if I'd gone bonkers. The first to try them was our four year old. He had his cold, with a bit of jam. No complaints from him. The rest of the family tried theirs in the toaster. Most of the pancakes came out like cardboard. They were hard and unappetizing. There was no currants etc I felt like using mine as a frizbie across the garden.
