Advantages: Very Cheap Price. Great With Different Types Of Cooked Breakfast.
Disadvantages: Not Bursting With Flavour
Tesco Value Pancakes are part of the striped "Value" range that you will find spread throughout the store. They tend to be the lowest priced item available in the product you are looking & therefore quite cheap.
The Pancakes vary slightly in price but are usually between 25p or 30p. They are also reduced further as they approach their sell by date & can be purchased sometimes for as little as 10p per pack. They are also suitable for freezing.
The Pancakes can be eaten cold straight out of the pack or can be cooked a variety of ways. They have already been pre cooked though. They can be a little floppy & dry if you eat them straight out of the packet. Personally, I tend to cook them in the microwave. About 10 seconds ish on full per pancake is usually enough & this does a great job of making them softer & more like they have been freshly baked.
The Pancakes don't have a lot of flavour. To some people this is a minus. I think it's not a bad thing. This makes them a great canvas. You can have them with bacon & sausages as part of a cooked breakfast or you can have a stack of them by themselves with fruit, maple syrup or somthing similar.
I would recommend them. For less than 30p per pack if you don't like them, you haven't wasted a lot of money. Plus, as with most things in life, you get what you pay for & for the price they are, they're pretty good.
Summary: A Well Priced & Good Value For Money Item. Worth Trying Them Out.
