Advantages: Sweet, cheap, crunchy

Disadvantages: None

I like to eat biscuits, unfortunately as they are not very good for me and cause me to break out in grease and put on weight so I decided to try some plain Tesco Value Rich Tea Biscuits instead of my normal sugar packed options. They seemed to me to be a healthier option. I chose Tesco's Value ones because they were a lot cheaper than the named brands who wanted two or three times the price. Also because I really like Tesco Value things and find them to be very tasty and good quality. I don't really see any difference between them and the named brands. I've actually found a lot more poor quality products in the Finest range than I have done I the Value one.

So I bought the biscuits which came in a 300g bad for a mere 26p. Very good value in my opinion, you can't really ask cheaper than that. The plastic wrapper which they came in is made form the usual Tesco Value colours of White with red and blue writing. On the front is the name of the biscuits and a picture of some whilst on the back are the ingredients and nutritional information.

These biscuits contain:
Wheat Flour, Sugar, Vegetable Oil, Raising Agents (Ammonium Bicarbonate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Disodium Diphosphate), Barley Malt Extract, Glucose Syrup, Salt, Preservative (Sodium Metabisulphite)

Contains:
Wheat, Gluten, Sulphite
Recipe: No nuts.
Ingredients: Cannot guarantee nut free.
Factory: Product made in a nut free area, but nuts used elsewhere.
Contains barley.

In each biscuit there are:
36 Calories (2% GDA)
1.6g of Sugar (2% GDA)
1.2g of Fat (2% GDA)
0.5g of Saturated Fat (2% GDA)
A trace of salt (<1% GDA)

The biscuits look like your average rich tea biscuits; they are circular in shape with the normal pattern on holes in the top. They are a pale golden colour and smell like biscuits. When they are first opened they crunch when you bite into them and taste nice and sweet like a good rich tea biscuit should. However if you leave them out for too long, they will go stale and stop crunching.

Overall 10 out of 10 for being a great cheap biscuit with a lovely sweet taste, be careful not to eat too many though, biscuits aren't good for you.

Summary: Try it as a treat
