Advantages: Excellent value and quality

Disadvantages: Can vay a bit in colour. Some are more baked than others.

To be considered worthy of the title 'biscuit', in my house, the product has to pass a stringent series of quality assessment tests. Scores are marked out of 10 and are completely biased.

Is it a big packet of biscuits?
Score: 8 Could be bigger, but couldn't they all.?

Yes, Tesco value rich tea biscuits come in a big packet. I think there are around twenty five biscuits in the packet but its difficult to measure this accurately when I keep eating them.

Are they expensive?
Score: 9 If they were free they would get an extra mark.

No, they are cheap at just 30p for the packet but further testing has also shown that they are almost indistinguishable from other more expensive brands of rich tea biscuits.

Are they big biscuits?
Score 8 As I said before, they could all be bigger.

They are the size of most other rich tea biscuits. I hate it when you get small biscuits in long packets like the Tesco Value Ginger nuts were packaged before they changed them.

Do they have 'snap' without 'crumbs'?
Score:10 Amazing snapability.

They most certainly do. Snapping a biscuit in half produced a sharp click sound which indicates crispness and crunchability. They do not however have crumbability because they don't crumble all over the place when you eat them. This is definitely a positive trait.

Do these biscuits have dunkability?
Score: 9 I could swear that they shrink in hot tea.

This is arguably the most important test of all. For a biscuit to be designed as dunkable you must be able to dip it in hot tea, or coffee without it falling to pieces in the liquid. This Tesco variety passed the test with flying colours.

How do these biscuits affect t-shirts, jumpers, sweatshirts and other clothing?
Score: 10 No effect on clothing unless you each a packet a day for a month.

Tests show that these biscuits do not affect t-shirts, or any other item of clothing because dipping them in hot liquid does not make them soggy and gloopy enough to drop to bits and slop onto your stomach, or chest as you eat them. However, caution should be exercised in eating huge quantities of these biscuits because an increase in the size of the waist may have a detrimental effect on t-shirts, jeans and other items of clothing.

These tests show that Tesco Value Rich Tea Biscuits are an excellent product and should be kept in all biscuit tins and barrels.

Summary: Excellent value and good quality.

My lot have just 'downsized' from McVities to Tescos own brand bics but we haven't quite mustered the courage to go value yet! Thankfully it seems like a painless step. It sounds like biscuit boot camp at your house! :)
