Advantages: Good for dunking

Disadvantages: not much taste

For this review I've picked that classic biscuit the Rich Tea. Always a favourite of my grandmother there's something about these biscuits that just make's me associate them with older people (maybe its because its Terry Wogan's favourite biscuit), with long boring weekend days stuck at a grandparents house with nothing to do but watch the awful TV shows they were watching like the Waltons or good forbid Little House on the Prairie (my worst nightmare!).

The Rich tea itself is not exactly a explosion of flavours in the mouth. What flavour it does have comes from the small amounts of sugar, salt and glucose in the biscuit. To be honest the only way I find this biscuit edible is with a cup of coffee for dunking. The biscuit does well in the dunking stakes as it doesn't fall apart too easily.

The Rich tea biscuit basically shows us that there is space for a biscuit with little real taste but stands up well when dunked! The cheaper varieties taste just the same as the more expensive ones so if you really want some get yourself a pack for 39p instead of 89p.

Summary: Bland dunking Biscuit

I'm not keen on rich teas, more of a digestives person!
