I was using this the other evening while cooking the dinner (again), and thinking what a useful little product it was. But is there anything more than "useful" to say about a few dried onion flakes and bits of rusk? I took a rather more objective look at it, and it didn't seem promising, either from a culinary or a reviewing point of view. Review of Tesco Value Sage and Onion Stuffing mix The Product This product is one of the Tesco supermarket own brand budget range. Along with many other supermarkets, Tesco have introduced a no frills, basically packaged range of everyday grocery and household goods, some are excellent, some are mediocre and some are quite awful. After finishing a long hard day in work on a Sunday, I find one of the best things to look forward to is a great Sunday roast. One of the most important parts of the Sunday roast has to be the Stuffing and the Tesco Value Sage and Onion Stuffing mix fills this space nicely. My mum brought this stuffing because she is trying to save money on the shopping but after we tried it she hasn't brought any more because there isn't much flavour in it and it doesn't cook very well in the oven either. Its supposed to be sage and onion flavour but the tastes are very faint and I could hardly taste the sage at all and even the onion flavour doesn't stand out like it should. The stuffing tastes a bit of herbs but it hasn't got a lot of flavour at all. This week I've really been craving stuffing so I decided that I'd have a stuffing sandwich. Imagine my horrer when I looked in the cupboard and I didn't have any stored away. I usually buy Asda's own as it's really good and great value for money. I wasn't needing an online shop soon so I had to pick up a packet in my local Tesco's which cost me 16p.
