... are slightly smaller than their branded counterparts, although this is irrelevant really as it doesn't take away from the taste of them. They taste very similar to other brands although I find that they are not as crunchy as some brands. They are also slightly greasier than some types of peanut. You cannot really taste the extra oil, it is just noticeable on your hands. I think that the amount of salt in these packs are just about right for most people. I prefer them a little saltier but I've found that most pe...more

Premium Review Tesco Value Salted Peanuts: Cheap as chips! (334 words)

Tesco Value Roasted Salted Peanuts, 27p - 200g. I don't tend to eat peanuts that often, but every now and again I like to have a few (or a lot!). One of the reasons I don't buy them often is that when I do start to eat them, I really can't stop. This is an issue with these peanuts - I have just had to force myself to put them back in the cupboard as I have now eaten half a bag and I have barely started my review! They are in a thicker than usual 'keep fresh' style plastic bag, with quite a bland design, as you expect from the Tesco Value range. The peanuts themselves are slightly smaller than their branded counterparts, although this is ...  Read the complete review

I bought these peanuts to take to V Festival this summer, but the 500g bag was so dauntingly huge that I didn't dare open them until we got back. *Packaging* The peanuts can be bought in 400g and 200g bags, with the usual Tesco value white background, blue and red text and image of a massive bowl of peanuts on the front. The bags are foil-type plastic which would never break when unopened, but also rips really easily once cut into, causing very annoying peanut spillage. Simple and functional. *Taste and texture* 99% of the peanuts are split in half, completely skinned and thus a pale sandy brown. They are salted quite generously, which ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tesco Value Salted Peanuts: In a nutshell - its a peanut (412 words)

As we all know those who have read my reviews I am quite into nuts (or should I say I am nuts - not sure). Anyway also on my Tesco brand mission, I thought it was about time I reviewed their Tesco Value Roasted Salted Peanuts. Their value peanuts come in the usual white and blue packaging and come in a 200g bag and cost 21p (what a bargain compared to KP or similar brands). I am not sure if they do a larger sized bag (they do not do them in my Tesco). On the front of the bag is the Tesco Value logo in the corner a blue strip saying Roasted Salted Peanuts, a picture of a bowl of peanuts with the Nutritional value at the bottom of ...  Read the complete review

Tescos value peanuts I recently switched from sainsburys to tescos only because of the convenience that the store has, its near to my work, and the recently blue lined value foods are saving my purse a fortune. Great value these nuts and to be perfectly honest they dont taste any different from any other brands of just normal peanuts that i have purchased, as obviously they are just nuts, and nuts are nuts as far as i am concerned dont think you can get different grades. Great value for my purse, currently retailing at 21p for a 200 grams packet. Package ********** White plastic bag, with obviously the ...  Read the complete review

Since making a concerted effort to sample some of the Tesco Value products I've found some real beauties at a fraction of the prices of their big brand counterparts. One thing I am glad I found was these Value salted peanuts which cost an amazing 21p for a 200g bag. I'm not someone who eats a lot of nuts if I'm honest as they make me cough and irritate my asthma but sometimes I fancy a handful or need some for cooking and I'm loathe to pay KP prices when I know full well that half of the bag will quite possibly end up in the bin as I can't eat them quick enough to keep them from going stale. Inside the foil bag you get, well, peanuts and salt ...  Read the complete review
