I'm a huge fan of shortbread, a nice traditional Scottish biscuit and have become quite the connoisseur over the years. Shortbread varies greatly in quality, the best being made with butter instead of margarine and having a nice crumbly and crunchy texture which melts in the mouth. Tesco value shortbread is not the best shortbread I have ever tasted but at just 9p for a packet of 10 fingers it is certainly the cheapest and as well as being fantastic value it also tastes pretty good too. Each rectangular shortbread finger is pretty small, some may think the small fingers are mean but personally I like the smaller biscuits as they each have only 65 ... Read the complete review

I am a real shortbread fan and had a bit of a craving for some when walking around Tescos a couple of weeks ago so thought i'd treat myself to a packet. Scouring all the different brands on the shelves I opted for Tesco Value Shortbread, purely because of the price to see how it tasted. ~The Product~ A 125g pack of Tesco Value shortbread contains 10 rectangular fingers. They are quite thick, thicker than expected actually. I found them quite hard to bite into at first, but they do melt in the mouth quite nicely afterwards. For the price I paid for this shortbread I expected it to be quite bland and tasteless, but it was actually quite buttery, ... Read the complete review

Today I had one of those days where I walked around the supermarket with a craving for something to munch on but no idea exactly what I fancied. As I wandered down the biscuit aisle I almost picked up chocolate digestives, but then suddenly I spotted the shortbread section, yes, that was what I fancied because I was feeling particularly naughty. My guilty conscience was eased however when I decided to try Tesco Value Shortbread Fingers for just 9p. Yes you read that correctly, they cost just 9p for a 125g packet. As usual with the Tesco value range, the packaging leaves a bit to be desired, the standard blue and white design with a photo of a plate of ... Read the complete review

If I had to pick my favourite type of biscuit then I would definetely pick shortbread biscuits. I try not to buy biscuits often though because they are just another food that is no good for my waistline, even when I buy biscuits for my kids I try to buy ones that I don't like then I won't be tempted into eating them. When shopping at Tesco recently I happened to notice Tesco Value Shortbread Fingers at just 9p, I have never seen a packet of biscuits so cheap nevermind my favourite kind, at that price I just could not resisit buying a packet. There are 10 biscuits in a 125g packet. The packaging is typical Tesco Value and there is a picture of the ... Read the complete review

I do like Shortbread, but I can take it or leave it. My husband however loves the stuff, so we normally have some in the house. I spotted this yesterday in Tesco and due to the price and also since I like to try new things then I "spashed" out on this product. This was found in my local Tesco on the bottom shelf, kind of tucked away. I nearly ddn't see it, and think being a Tesco product, they should make it more visable. This comes in a 125g pack and costs a bargain 9p! The packaging was the normal Value style pack. It s a thin cellophane wrapper that it mostly white. It has the Tesco Value Branding up the top, the writing across the ... Read the complete review
