Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Dry, Small
I have written several reviews on the Tesco Value range, and as a whole they have been very positive. Sadly this one falls into the categeory of awful - in my opinion.
I was shopping in Tesco last week and this little beauty (or ugly) caught my eye. Surely not 13p for a Chocolate Swiss Roll. It must be a mistake. Checking it on the scanner nearby, it confirmed that the price was in fcat 13p. So I threw one in my trolly and carried on with my shopping.
Upon arriving home I thought I'd have a piece with my cup of tea. Good job it was actually only me having a cup, because this roll would not go far between a family of 5 - not that it advertised it would.
Opening the plastic wrapper I was greeted with what looked like a swiss roll. Well it was certainly a roll. It had cream in it. The only disappointing thing was that it looked terribly small. Upon biting into my piece (nearly half the cake) I immediately noticed how dry it tasted. It tasted okay though, I just felt it needed not to be so dry.

Summary
Well I wasn't all impressed with this roll. I mean to be fair it only cost 13p, but it didn't really justify charging it any more. It was very soft but dry. Perhaps next time if it fell in my trolly I'd get some fresh cream as well. Not one of the best Tesco Value products out there by far. Not Recommended. A lowly 1 star.
