Following on from my chocolate sponge pudding review, I thought it would be deemed appropriate to talk about the syrup sponge pudding considering Andrew and I had half each. This is the same principal as the chocolate sponge pudding in that you open each ends of the tin that the whole thing is provided in and it should slide out of the can easily. You will find that some of the sticky syrup glues itself to the lid but you can scrape it off with a knife and eat it cold like I do or add it to the cake that is now sitting perfectly on a plate. Every now and again, I come across a product that I really should have known better than to buy in the first place. This Tesco Value Syrup Sponge Pudding wasn't even that cheap at 54p for a can that serves 1-2 people. In fairness, some Tesco Value products turn out to be really decent for hardly anything, so it was just bad luck that I decided to try one as foul as this. The idea with this pudding-in-a-can is that you turn the contents out of the can, having got out your tin opener to attack the difficult lid with.
