Advantages: Lovely and crunchy, lightly salted, bargain price.
Disadvantages: None
I purchased some of these chips today after reading lots of great reviews on them and deciding to do Mexican for tea tonight.
The chips are in a 100g bag which costs just 25p at present from Tesco stores and at tesco.com. The bag is very simple in design and differs slightly to the picture that Dooyoo have up. It is clear so that you can see the chips and they look the same as any other tortilla chip really yellow almost triangles with lots of bits in them (corn).
I used the chips to make nachos with a tomato salsa, onions & peppers etc and then I topped the whole thing with cheese. This was far cheaper for me than using a Nachos kit (as I usually would) and I already had cheese in the fridge and salsa from a fajitas kit that I brought earlier today as well.
The chips were very crunchy and a little plain if sampled alone, however, as the base for my nachos they were delicious, soft where the salsa and cheese was and hard where there was only cheese. I could taste that these were salted but it was not overpowering, my other half was also very pleased with them. (He was amazed at my cost-saving idea - thanks Dooyoo!). I would definitely recommend them and would buy them in the place of more expensive branded products as they were just as tasty and the amount of salt on them was just right.
I will definitely be buying them again & I am therefore rating them 5/5. The nachos were delicious (as good as any restaurant I've had them in) and I really felt pleased knowing I'd made them myself (not that they're a hard dish but I'm normally not very adventurous!). These are yummy and I would recommend them to anyone.
Summary: A fantastic cheap bag of tortillas that I will use time and time again.
