Express Review on Tesco Value Tortilla Chips

Given that these cost 25p, I do wonder why you're reading this review. If you can't afford to gamble 25 pence, I would suggest that you might actually want to kill yourself. As for the chips, well, they're rubbish - what do you expect for 25p?

As mentioned in my previous review I am trying to limit the amount of rubbish I tend to eat in a bid to lose a few pounds in time for Christmas. With this in mind I made the healthy choice to have soup for my dinner and wanted something other than bread to accompany it. I've had these Value Tortilla chips in from Tesco for a while now ...  Read the complete review

Tesco value tortilla chips:Enjoy snacking When it comes to Tortilla Chips, I have always used Doritos as the taste is great and it is really filling. I never tried any of the basic supermarket variety until I stumbled on this Tesco value product. The packaging is not so good like most of the basic products. This one is not an ...  Read the complete review

I first got into Tortilla Chips due to Doritos, but I find their products too flavoursome, and Tesco's Own brand tortilla chips are the solution. ~~~PACKAGING~~~ In a simple, low budget, not much printing plastic packet houses a bag of tortilla chips. You can see just what they look like from the convenient transparent pack on the ...  Read the complete review

Tesco tortilla chips sell for 25 pennies for 100 gramms, they are made with maze and sunflower oil and will add nothing less than 480 calories to your intake if you finish them on your own. I am not addicted to Tortillas and normally only buy them when we have parties at home. I normally get these because they are very good value for ...  Read the complete review

I bought these because I had friends coming around, I was extremely skint and I wanted to provide some snacks. I usually opt for Doritos and one of their dips, but on this occasion I made my own salsa and bought for Tesco's value tortilla chips. You get quite a lot for your money - you can't but 100g of crisps for 25p often! I got a ...  Read the complete review

**Overview** I'm more of a sweet than savoury girl but I do like the occasional snack and dip combo, my fav dip being houmous or salsa. The snack then depends if I'm being really naughty or not so naughty, really naughty = tortilla chips or sweet chilli sensations, not so naughty = celery and carrot sticks. Last year for the first time ...  Read the complete review

Once you start, you won't be able to stop! You have been warned. What is it that they put in these things to make some so darned addictive. I am thinking it is a combination of the spices and the salt. It is unwise to demolish a pack in one sitting, as they aren't that good for you and then you will feel you have to eat a whole bag each ...  Read the complete review

As I am a big lover of a good chilli, I like to have a bowl of Tortilla Chips on the side, just to mix the flavours up a little and give it a truer Mexican feel and if I like they can, as a bonus, double up as a bowl snack if I have guests around. There were two reasons why I bought these for the first time, the first being obviously ...  Read the complete review

Tesco value Tortilla chips are as you probably guessed a cheap bog standard product which are actually very similar to lightly salted premium brand tortilla chips but for an extremely lower price. The first time i bought these was around a year ago, i think i was wanting to buy some original doritoes, but to my unamusement there was ...  Read the complete review

Tesco are fully promoting their "every little helps" campaign and it seems that there is a budget version of almost every single product. In my experience there are some things you can scrimp on, and some things you can't. The standard tortilla chips is, in my opinion, a pretty standard product and it is generally these products where ...  Read the complete review

I like Doritos a lot, I like tortilla chips which I can dip in lovely spicy sauces, but I don't like the crazy price of Dorito's, at £1 per pack they are quite pricey, well i'm going round Asda, Tesco and Sainsburys to try cheaper alternatives. This is my review of Tesco own brand Tortilla chips. Price - 25p for a 100g pack, this is ...  Read the complete review

I know that a lot has been written about these Tortilla Chips, but I was absolutely knocked back when I tried these as they were so great!!!!! My mum buys these because they're only about 25p for a big bag and they're dead nice. They are packed well in the bag because they're not all broken and snapped when we get them home. These tortilla chips are a bit thicker than Doritos and chips like that but they are a bit dusty feeling like there is powder on them. The salt on them ...  Read the complete review

I stumbled upon these and must admit, I only bought them because I was on a very tight budget and I was trying to buy as much food as possible with as little money as possible... When it comes to Tortilla Chips, I have always used Sainsbury Basic that taste quite nice and is reasonably cheap. However they are not consistent, with some batches being more salty or less salty, this was slightly annoying because I preferred sticking to a brand that was consistent and tasted the same each time a brought it. ...  Read the complete review

The most startling thing about Tesco Value Tortilla Chips is the price: 25p for a largeish (100g) bag of tortilla chips. Compare that to what you'd pay for an individual bag of similar branded product (eg. a standard bag of Doritos) - which retail at the approx 50p for 35g mark and this product obviously offers terrific value. I have written a few reviews on Tesco value products to date, some good some not so but these Tesco value tortilla chips could possibly be the best value product they do.
