I keep saying I am not that into Cake items, but since I keep picking up bargain Cakes, then perhaps I am into Cakes! I spotted these in Tesco today, and since they only cost 23p for 6 Mini Rolls then I thought they were worth a try. I found these up the Bread/Cake aisle. They were quite hard to spot, as being a bargain brand buy they were on a single row on the bottom shelf. The pack wasn't that eye catching either.

These were arranged on a thin bit of plastic and wrapped in a see through plastic bag. There is a white strip on the front and it has the name and branding on the front as well. This is a Tesco Value product, so there is the Tesco value label on it.

These aren't the largest Cakes, and they aren't covered on Chocolate or anything, but they are a budget buy, so I wasn't expecting the world from these. The Rolls are rectangular bits of Cake and running through the middle of these and spiraling out from the middle are thin strips of Strawberry Jam and Vanilla Cream. The Jam and Cream is tasty, but it isn't overly strong tasting, but it is nice and sweet. I wouldn't complain if there was more filling in these, but I got what I expected for the price of these.

Each Roll has 90 calories and 3.6g fat.

I will buy these again as they were tasty, a good price and a nice taste. The only bad thing is the packaging, as when you open these and if you only eat a couple then no matter how careful you open the pack, it seems to rip across the mddle diagonally. So I folded the open part over and popped into a food bag and tied. I'm sure this will keep these fresh and moist.

Good buy from Tesco Value!
