This is Tesco's own branded alternative to Weetabix, costing considerably less. Once again Tesco have come up with a product that rivals the leading premium brand in everyway. When you find this on the supermarket shelf you could almost be fooled into thinking it was a box of Weetabix. The box is the same distinctive yellow colour and there is a large picture of the actual product - two of the wheat biscuits in a bowl of milk and brightened up with some rather scrummy looking fruit. Visually the look exactly the same as Weetabix would. I had alway resisted these until recently. While I am more than willing to drop down a brand on most products I am ... Read the complete review

Breakfast is a new phenomenon for me having never been hungry when I first get up, however after an hour's drive into work im ravenous so have begun taking in cereal to work which incredibly and of great surprise to me keeps me going until lunchtime! As my other half's redundancy looms we have been making cutbacks and that means switching to cheaper brands when doing our weekly shop, at first it was tough, like tearing yourself away from a warm bed on a cold day even when you know your going to be late! You know deep down the brands are probably no better but you feel compelled and obliged to keep buying them, not anymore! Tesco Wheat biscuits cost a n ... Read the complete review

The main thing people are going to want to know about these is are they as good as Wheatabix? Well, the answer is YES! At £1.15 for 24, it's a great price and one that is hard to beat. It's so cheap it makes you want to take the risk about coming away from the leading brand and I am glad I did. They look identical to the leading brand, which is a good start. Dry, they're brittle and crunchy, and I've never had a problem with them going soft in the packet but then we do eat the lot within about a week. The taste is lovely, and has that very overpowering sense of fibre to it (my bowels are excited just from me writing about them). It's hard ... Read the complete review

This is Tesco's own Supermarket version of the popular Cereal wheetabix, but they are a bit cheaper, and that's what most of us are looking for these days. You can buy these in 2 different pack sizes and as normal the larger the pack, the better the savings. You get a 24 Biscuit pack for £1.18 or a 48 Biscuit pack for £2.05. The packaing is quite similar to the brand named ones as well. The box is a mix of Deeper and Lighter Yellows and it has a picture of the Wheat Biscuits on the front in a cereal bowl. Not the most exciting box and the Tesco logo looks a bit large and yukky as well. As long as the product inside is ok - right? The Biscuits are ... Read the complete review

On my journey to finding reasonable priced supermarket own brands and value products which are just as good as branded products, just cheaper. I have come across a pig of a product in the tesco value wheat biscuits, but came across a gem in the Tesco own brand wheat biscuits. This is a warning. Do not even bother thinking about the Tesco value wheat biscuits. You get 36 for 75p. I chucked them away after one try of them! But these ones where you can get 48 wheat biscuits for £2 or 24 for £1.15 This price is a lot less than Wheatabix and I could not taste the difference. Maybe these Tesco ones go a bit soggy quicker but that is me trying to pick a ... Read the complete review
