This is Tesco's own Supermarket version of the popular Cereal wheetabix, but they are a bit cheaper, and that's what most of us are looking for these days.
You can buy these in 2 different pack sizes and as normal the larger the pack, the better the savings. You get a 24 Biscuit pack for £1.18 or a 48 Biscuit pack for £2.05.
The packaing is quite similar to the brand named ones as well. The box is a mix of Deeper and Lighter Yellows and it has a picture of the Wheat Biscuits on the front in a cereal bowl. Not the most exciting box and the Tesco logo looks a bit large and yukky as well. As long as the product inside is ok - right? The Biscuits are wrapped in packs of 12 and seem to stay fresh enough even when opened. I normally put a food bag over them when they are opened though.
The Biscuits are quite thick and a kind of oblong shape. They are quite hard and seem to be packed full of Wheat. They stay firm for quite a while when in Milk, so they don't get totally mushy as soon as the Milk is added.
2 Biscuits has 190 calories and 2.8g of fat, so teamed with Semi Skimmed Milk will make a healthy enough Breakfast.
The taste of these are alright. They taste quite sweet, Wheat-y and nice and Malty. Also there is a hint of Saltiness in them, which I like with these. It would be quite hard to distinguish these from the brand named ones, and I would be happy to keep buying them for the price difference as the quality is just as good in my view.
Give these a try next time you shop in Tesco.
