I had expected these White Chocolate and Strawberry Muffins from Tesco to be a bit sickly sweet with the combinations of white chocolate and strawberry sauce in them however this was not the case and while they are sweet tasting they were not at all sickly. They are only sold in packs or four and retail for around the £1.50 mark which works out at pretty good value per muffin. The packaging is quite basic, a clear wrapper and container with them sitting in a divided square tray. They have the typical muffin shape that is now associated with middle aged spread amongst the older male population as his belly hangs out over his trousers and they have a ... "Never go shopping when you are hungry"......I have heard this many times over the years, at various weightwatchers classes, and from reading one of the library of diet books that I have bought over time. But I have obviously not listened to a word they said, because at lunchtime today I headed to our local Tesco Metro...... Now, I normally bypass the bakery area - simply because I know that it is full of things I will find hard to resist - whether I am shopping while hungry, or not - but today I had to buy a birthday cake so had a little peruse of the other yummies on the shelves. I found myself justifying the acquisition of ... Read the complete review

Whilst I was following Letitia Dean's Lean Routine Workout DVD, I found there was a section called the Muffin Shrinker. This works your 'muffin' top, also known as your bulging stomach! Ever since watching this, especially since Dee and Tish have the urge to shout 'MUFFIN!' randomly, I've been craving muffins. This was weeks ago, so I decided to let it be as I thought it would soon pass. Unfortunately it didn't and finally I caved! I went to Tesco (I might as well buy shares, they get enough of my money!) hunting for a muffin which I fancied, when I stopped at their patisseries section. Here I found a lovely shelf full of donughts and pastries, but no muffins! ... Read the complete review

I do like to treat myself with a nice cake every so often, especially when enjoying a coffee and when I saw these on special offer of a pack of four for a £1 in Tesco the other day I thought they would be ideal to take into work to share out amongst my colleagues. These are a white muffin with strawberry sauce in the middle and small pieces of soft white chocolate in them, they are the traditional muffn shape and are sold in packs of four, I have never seen these sold as individual cakes and they are sold under the Tesco own brand label. They definately have a rather sweet taste but it is not at all sickly, the muffin itself is quite light and ... Read the complete review

Tesco White Chocolate & Strawberry Muffins can be found in the Bakery section of your local Tesco. The come in pack of 4 & are usually priced around the £1.50 mark although they are sometimes in Multi-Buy offers & can be reduced to as low as £1.00 as their sell by date approaches. The Muffins are a decent size & are neither small nor large. They have have a good soft & fluffy texture. They don't break up to easily & can can bite them without getting loads of crumbs. The taste sweet & have a subtle flavour. I think that the white Chocolate must melt in the cooking process as I never seem to come across any chocolate chips which is a ... Read the complete review
