Advantages: I liked the light cake

Disadvantages: Sauce is a bit watery

I do like to treat myself with a nice cake every so often, especially when enjoying a coffee and when I saw these on special offer of a pack of four for a £1 in Tesco the other day I thought they would be ideal to take into work to share out amongst my colleagues.

These are a white muffin with strawberry sauce in the middle and small pieces of soft white chocolate in them, they are the traditional muffn shape and are sold in packs of four, I have never seen these sold as individual cakes and they are sold under the Tesco own brand label.

They definately have a rather sweet taste but it is not at all sickly, the muffin itself is quite light and fluffy in texture and there are quite a few small pieces of white chocolate contained in the muffin. The cake part of the muffin has a vanilla taste to it. I liked the fact that the white chocolate pieces started to melt in your mouth straight away. I was a little disappointed with the strawberry sauce, it was a little watery and not as thick like a jam as I had expected it to be. The taste was ok but agan not as strong as I had hoped for.

I would probably buy these again if they were on special as everyone enjoyed their muffin but I would not probably pay the full retail price for them as this is around the £1.70 mark for a pack of four.
