Well the supermarkets own brands are just getting better and better. Yesterday my son came walking in with a large bar of Tesco's Wholenut Plain Chocolate, a whole 200g's worth!. Well trying to avoid this sort of luxury at the moment I just kept watching him breaking bit after bit off, resisiting no longer for "research reasons!", I took a square (two actually!) and was really surprised by the look of it. Now with it being a plain bar I expected it to be dark, but this was verging on black, which then made the whole hazlenuts stand right out with their creamy colour. This wholenut plain chocolate bar was an accidental buy. Rushing around Tesco one evening I thought I'd treat my teenage son to a wholenut chocolate bar and picked this one up by mistake instead of the milk chocolate version that I usually buy. He was not happy that I'd bought plain chocolate so I was left with the bar taking up space in my fridge. Inevitably it didn't sit there for long and I found myself nibbling on it whilst watching TV one evening. I'm quite partial to plain chocolate, prefering the likes of Lindt or Green and Blacks to Bourneville.
