Tesco Value Tomato Soup ... humbug, soup for winter! It isn t a meal is it? I got up really late last night and made myself some soup because I was freezing cold. That is where soup comes in handy, not so much as a meal, but more as a winter warmer. Usually I stick with Heinz, but I have tried Tesco soups too. If you can get over the exceedingly bad packaging and hide it at the bottom of your basket so nobody can see you buying it, then this can be a handy item to have at the back of the cupboard for emergencies. No ring pull, like on Heinz, though sometimes these can be fiddly anyway, so I don t really mind about that. When your pour it out, it comes out quite quickly and isn t as viscous as ... I tend to use them straight from the freezer for making smoothies, and really there is no way to tell that they were frozen (other than being very cold) once defrosted though, this really isn t an issue. They taste exactly the same as the fresh fruit, and it s only really the texture which gives them away, as they (strawberries especially) are a little mushy when defrosted. This isn t a big issue when they re used f... Read the full review: Berries by Gaven |

Tesco Strawberry Delight ... has to attend tonight, and so I was racking my brains to think of something easy, that I could prepare a lot of in advance, and I decided upon a sort of trifle. The recipe states either custard or angel delight, and since I have only ever used custard before I thought I would give the other ago. Rather than the official branded angel delight, I opted for the slightly cheaper alternate by Tesco, namely Strawberry Delight; at a cost of 39p for a 49g packet. On the front of the packaging, Tesco state that there is no added sugar in this item, and that it can be made easily, simply by adding milk and then whisking. It also states that it is suitable for vegetari... Read the full review: The alternative angel delight! Tesco strawberry delight- and just as good! by karlsm93 |
