Advantages: I struggle to over eat these.

Disadvantages: Latte and cinnamon flavoured beans!

My husband and son both have real penchant for sweets, with their particular favourite (at the moment anyway!), being jelly sweets, with that in mind when I went shopping, I saw these on offer and threw them straight into the trolley.

The product I will now review is - "The jelly bean factory gourmet beans - 300g tub"

The packaging itself is a plastic tub with a push in metal lid, that keeps the beans fresh after opening them and also prevents them from spilling into the sweet draw in my fridge...I know how sad, actually having a specific draw for sweets!

Within the tub there are around...and please do not pull me up on this as it is a guess, around 300 jelly beans, if not more!

As stated on the side of the tub there are 36 different flavour of beans, though they do say they cannot guarantee that each tub holds all 36 flavours, though who would know!

The jelly beans themselves are tiny, around ½ - ¾" in length, the beans are all bent up at the ends slightly like you would expect from a bean and are all in a vivid variety of colours.

Even though the beans are small in size they more than make up for there shortcomings, in flavour, and boy do they pack a punch!

Within the "36 flavours" scope there are flavours ranging from fruity ones, e melon, kiwi, tangerine etc, through to more obscure flavours like candyfloss, cola and pin colada.

When these were first released a few years ago I remember buying them to see what all the hype was about. When first released it was sold as a mix and match bean, by this I mean if you so desired you could make your own flavour combinations by eating two or three different flavours at once, say melon flavoured popcorn or peachy pie flavoured marshmallows.

There is none of this advice on this tub, so whether it was a merchandising ploy that never caught on I don't know!

As mentioned earlier these really pack a punch with each flavour being incredibly alike to it's realife counterparts, so there will of course be flavours that you will completely detest, and when I find one it always reminds me of that scene in Harry Potter with the bogey flavoured sweets!

There are only two flavours that I don't like, these being caffe latte for the obvious reasons, I don't like anything coffee flavoured unless it's...well, unless it's coffee!
The second is cinnamon, this is unpleasant not so much for the initial flavour, but more the fact that it leaves a burning sensation on the tongue, not nice!

The problem with there being one's you don't like is the fact that due to amount of different colours within the tub, some of the colours are very similar, so you assume you are eating cola and it turns out to be coffee!

There is no nutritional information on this product, though I would assume it is high in sugar, though you really would struggle to eat more than a handful at a time, being satisfied more with quality and not quantity....I can't believe I just said that!

Price wise these were purchased for £2.99, not bad value at all considering the tube that is also on sale is not much less than that, and it contains considerably less.

These are a nice product with the benefit of not being able to over eat them!

Thanks for reading x

Yuck! Everyone seems to adore these. Am I the only one who thinks jelly beans are yuckky?!

I fool myself into not being a sweet lover, but put a bag of these in front of me and there's no way any of them will make it home from the shops!

Love the cinnamon ones. I agree I only like coffee as a drink, don't like its flavour in anything else, thought it was only me! X
