I was in Thorntons looking at the Easter eggs yesterday and I noticed a display of chocolate bars on the counter. Me and my daughter both like marzipan very much but I never see marzipan chocolate bars any more except for those Ritter ones which do not taste of proper marzipan to me. I brought a few Almond Marzipan Bars for me and some to give to my daughter to enjoy. I think it is quite a small chocolate bar but it is packaged to look bigger because the paper is very loose on it which makes it look like I was buying a bigger bar. I was happy to see the chocolate coating on the marzipan bar is dark Thorntons chocolate because dark chocolate is my favourite ... Read the complete review

I went into Thorntons yesterday to buy my mate a birthday pressie and while I was there I brought myself a few of their bars of chocolate as a change from Cadburys or Galaxy. The one I've just eaten was a yummy almond marzipan bar and I wish I'd brought 2 of them because I could eat another one right now! The bar is a lot smaller than most chocolate bars but because it's pure marzipan inside it feels a lot bigger because of how sweet and filling the chocolate bar is. I no longer follow any diet plan, but I do still occasionally pick one of these bars up, in the knowledge that it won't do me too much harm! Available singly at Thorntons shops, these can also occasionally be found in smaller supermarkets, although in larger supermarkets they are more likely to be found in multipacks. A single bar at Thorntons is 69p which I feel ... Read the complete review

I must say that i do like these, i am a big fan of marzipan, and if you are too, then this is a lovely chocolate bar. Off the top of my head i cant think of any other chocolate bars which utilize marzipan to it potential like this. Although it isnt the cheapest, its not too bad considering it is thorntons, and it doesnt leave you too sickly. However, as i am a big fan of marzipan, and i am guessing you are, thus why you have come to look at this review! Here are some other marzipan related loves of mine! Firstly, A block of marzipan! you cant get much better than this, just sit there and eat it, usually a whole block will last me a few days, which ... Read the complete review
