I'm always sceptical about buying Thorntons cakes. I am not a huge fan of their chocolate due to thinking it is a bit sickly. Therefore, I often assume that their cakes might be the same. However, I'm glad to say I was wrong! I picked these up in Asda where they cost £1.00 for 5 individually wrapped cake bars. As you can see from the picture, the packaging is elegant, with a large realistic picture of the product on the front. There is a large Thorntons logo to the upper of the packet and there is a large band towards the left stating what the product is. They can be found is the biscuit and cake aisle, with the other premium brand cake products. On ... Read the complete review

I went to my mother in laws the other weekend and she was kind enough to give us lunch whilst we were there. After lunch she said she had a nice cake for us all. I am never one to turn down cake so I was ready to accept all offerings. She handed me an individual Thornton's toffee cake bar. I am not a fan of toffee as a flavour in cakes, but I wasn't going to hand it back without at least trying it, so I accepted gracefully and proceeded to open the wrapper. They can be purchased in packs of five from the bakery shelves of the major supermarkets such as Asda, Morrisons, Sainsburys and Tesco. They are, in fact, part of a special offering for supermarkets and are not available from Thorntons chocolate shops or the Thorntons online store. ~ Packaging ~ The five cake bars are individually cellophane-wrapped and presented on a lightweight gold-coloured plastic tray that protects and separates them. Everything is enclosed in a foil covering, silvered on the ... Read the complete review

YUM!! I recently treated myself to some Individual Toffee Cakes from the wonderful Thorntons. Thorntons generally are a great chocolatier and the quality of their chocolate is really high class. I occasionally pop into their shops just to stare in awe, as they are pretty expensive. When i saw some Thorntons products on the shelf of the supermarket, I could not resist... it's annoying how they get you when you least expect it!! Anyway, I instantly put them in my trolley. I bought them without thinking too much. They were absolutely delicious and worthy of being bought without much thought. They didn't need much thought - just buy them. You ...
