Advantages: Yummy Scrummy

Disadvantages: Very Chewy

I am a huge fan of toffee and while I was passing Thorntons while in town a few days ago I popped in and bought a couple of my favourite items, one of which was a box of original Toffi-chocs. I have to be so careful not to purchase these too often as I have a tendency to eat the entire box over a period of a couple of hours. Anyway there are worst things I could be doing!!!!!

Toffi-Chocs quite simply are round pieces of delicious toffee smothered completely in extremely thick Thorntons milk chocolate. Unlike some similar types of products available from other retailers the pieces that you get are large. The box actually states that they are bite-sized pieces. I actually have quite a small mouth so I would tend to disagree with this. (My husband wouldn't !!!!). At least though you can only eat one at a time so they tend to last a bit longer.

The packaging comes in the trademark brown Thorntons colours with the logo in white. It states that these are the original version of the chocolates which are the milk chocolate variety. The box contains 8oz or 230grammes of product. It shows a picture of the item on the front which look very appetising and certainly entices you to want to try the product. The reverse of the box states basically that they are toffee smothered chocolates.

The taste is absolutely gorgeous. I appreciate that not everybody loves the same flavours of chocolate however Thorntons Milk Chocolate for me is amongst one of the best. It is not sickly sweet like some varieties and has a wonderfully silky smooth consistency. The toffee is lovely and deliciously creamy if not a little tough to chew so I would certainly recommend strong teeth before deciding to eat this. It is very pleasant tasting and the chocolate which is deliciously thick compliments it extremely well. Overall I would definitely recommend these as they are a lovely occasional treat.
