I'll not bore you with a history lesson regarding the epic journey of the Toblerone chocolate bar from its early 20th Century Swiss roots to its universal (controversial?) modern day popularity, I'll get straight down to business, how does it taste? Well, I'm not going to lie to you people, it won't be to everyone's taste. Some people will prefer a classic no-nonsense chocolate, of the Cadbury's Dairy Milk ilke, with no bits, just smooth chocolate. And, hey, that's fine, I'm not judging anyone, each to their own. BUT in my humble opinion, and that's all it is (and that's why we're here) I sometimes want a bit more than just straight forward ... Read the complete review

Toblerone ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Produced by Kraft Foods Switzerland, the Toblerone is a taste sensation created using an original recipe comprising the finest cocoa beans, milk, sugar, honey and almonds. This delicious combination, which first hit the shelves back in 1908, is now easily one of the world’s most popular and well known chocolate bars. History ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The history of Toblerone begins with Jean Tobler who first opened a confectionary store in Bern, Switzerland in 1867. His store was a huge success and so Jean opened a factory with his sons called ‘Fabrique de Chocolat ... Read the complete review

TOBLERONE FRUIT AND NUT I remember Toblerone in those long, distant, childhood days of the fifties. Toblerone was always a little expensive and a slightly unusual chocolate bar. The television advertising used to sing to us, 'Toblerone, out on it's own, Triangular chocolate, that's Toblerone' . These days we are overwhelmed with choccies in the form of sweets and confection and Toblerone is just one of many products. In recent years it has added a couple of different varieties to the original Toblerone, presumably in an attempt to be up to date, stay competitive and retain a consumer buyer. Netto today had 100g bars of Toblerone Fruit and Nut ... Read the complete review

This has been sitting in the cupboard for 2 months now. I've had some wisdom teeth problems recently which cause pain whenever I eat something sweet, but I have to have *this*. What is it? It's the Christmas and Fathers' Day pressie that all men love to start with but get bored with after the twice a year bars for 10 years. It's the male equivalent of the Chocolate Orange. It's the one and only TOBLERONE. oOoOo DID YOU KNOW? oOoOo Toblerone was first created in 1908 and the word 'toblerone' is a word play on the names 'Tobler' and 'Torrone', the Italian word for honey-almond nougat. It was Theodor Tobler who developed both the triangular design and ... Read the complete review

This is a chocolate bar that I always associate with holidays and returning to the airport in the UK as most of the time my mother would have bought a giant toblerone at some point on the journey back. It sort of replaced the stick of rock that you used to get when you went to the seaside. Tobleroe has a distinctive triangular shape and comes in a solid cardboard ude which is the same shape as the chocolate. It is a mixture of lovely milk chocolate, almonds and nougat. Now I'm not a massive fan of nuts but they do work really well with this chocolate bar, probably because they are very mild. It is a nice firm chocolate bar however the nougat gives ...
