Advantages: Chewy, chocolately, yummy

Disadvantages: Not very healthy

I suddenly had a craving for chocolate so headed off to the machine at work to see what delights or not as the case may be it held for me. Usually it just holds wispa, twix and mars bars but today Toffee Crisps...

It cost me 50p for this out of the machine where most of the chocolate cost 50p or 60p, which is a bit on the pricey side but hey I can't just nip down to the shop when I want to, damn work. Due to this coming out of a machine I'm not sure how much it would cost in the shops but would think it would compare to most of the other chocolate bars.

I remember muching away and creating lots of mess as a child on toffee crisps and I am delighted to say that they are as messy as ever with bits of chocolate and rice crispy bits going everywhere. They even taste the same (well from what I can remember I'm sure they will have changed some things in them through the years).

They still come in the very recognisable orange packaging with Toffee Crisp written distinctively in yellow writing across the front. You can't miss them, though I must have been for years as I thought they'd stopped making them.

The bar itself seems a bit smaller than what I remember but again that could be memory playing me up. The bar itself is coated in thick, rich chocolate surrounding a bar of rice crispys in toffee thought Nestle call it "toffee and crisped cereal filled milk chocolate". The inside of the bar is still as chewy as ever and bit of rice crispy still shot across the desk and the chocolate melted in my mouth but with all the pulling and chompy on the chewy inside the chocolate did try and make a bid for freedom!

Per bar there is 228kcal and 12.2g of fat so not exactly healthy but then again its only once in a while and it is chocolate so I don't expect it to be calorie or fat free! Maybe one day if I wish hard enough.........

Overall I was pleasantly suprise to find that the toffee crisp hasn't changed much over the years and hopefully there'll be some in the machine again when I need a chocolate fix.

Summary: Glad the machine had them in hope they do next time
