... greedier and fatter, chocolate bars have enlarged to king size and bigger versions, the Topic remains small and can therefore be picked up for around 35p. I'm a big fan of Topics and the creamy rich flavour of the chocolate shows that it's quality not quantity that matters. It comes in a red wrapper with the word Topic in a white font with a sun to the right of it and a hazelnut in the O. They were once mentioned in Red Dwarf, Rimmer is trying to get Lister to stop thinking about food and says that he can't think...more

Premium Review Topic: Nuts for Nuts (216 words)
by - written on 07/01/08 (Useful, 19 readings)
Rating:

Topic is another bar from the mars corporation, created from a combination of chocalate (obviously), hazelnuts, nougat and caramel, a very similair makeup to the mars bar with the hazelnuts added. With a very similair taste to the snickers bar but with many more nuts which make it both more crunchy and enjoyable. Another bar from mars to use the same chocolate covering as the original mars bar, which is very creamy and rich and definately one of the best cheap milk chocolate's available especially since a topic bar only costs about 35p. The next feature of a topic is the light fluffy nougat similair to that in a milky way. This sweat fluffy concoction adds ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Nutty enough to satisfy??? (513 words)

I am trying very hard to stay off chocolate for a while now but, you know what it’s like, not easy! So I couldn’t help myself whilst in the shop and somehow a Topic found it’s way into my basket. ***Cost*** The cost of my Topic bar was 40p. This was from a corner shop and I think is pretty average. Compared with a Mars & Snickers bars at 33p each from Tesco, I think perhaps, my Topic is a bit pricey. Let’s see if it’s worth the cost. ***Packaging*** The packet is a nice red packet with very minimal fuss. It is just a simple ‘Topic’ logo in clear white writing with just one hazelnut showing in the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Don't talk about Topics, they're food (195 words)

Rating:

Topic on the other hand is also made by Mars but Mars France, however it is still sold in the UK and throughout much of Europe. It contains white nougat, hazelnut and caramel and is coated in delicious milk chocolate, the Topic gets an unfair wrap often dubbed as the nutty Mars, it is substantially different though, the nougat seems much tastier and it's altogether a little less sweet than a Mars bar. Topic remains traditional, as people have become greedier and fatter, chocolate bars have enlarged to king size and bigger versions, the Topic remains small and can therefore be picked up for around 35p. I'm a big fan of Topics and the creamy rich flavour of the chocolate ...  Read the complete review

What has a hazelnut in every bite, that was the advert, as for the chocolate bar itself, it seems to have been forgotten, all the other bars got bigger versions of them such as snickers and mars and even the kit-kat got chunky, but poor old Topic is still far too small, i guess it was never popular enough for them to enlarge it. once upon a time i'd always look for one whenever i was hungry but nowadays i go for value for money and try something more filling instead. Oh well heres hoping one day it gets a little bigger ...  Read the complete review
