Tracker Bars
Anyone who has read my earlier review will know that I bought a Tracker bar this morning as a breakfast substitute (after throwing away the first cereal bar that I had bought, due to it being horrible!). This cost me £0.55 but is cheaper in shops (our vending machine has outrageous prices and should only ever be used in an emergency) and I usually buy them in multi packs of 8 for around £1.60. They can be bought from most supermarkets.
I had the peanut variety which has red writing on the wrapper on a cream coloured background.
These do contain more sugar and fat than some varieties but they are definitely worth it! There is the bottom layer which is crunchy, the layer above that which is fabulously chewy and then the top layer which is a different kind of crunchy (lighter than the base) and has the peanuts (or chocolate chips, those ones are also great!) in it. There are plenty of peanuts (or chocolate chips) too, which is great.
Each 26g bar contains:
Energy - 125 calories
Sugars - 7.9g
Fat - 6.1g
Saturated Fat - 2.9g
Salt - 0.1g
Ingredients are as follows;
Glucose syrup,, whole grains, vegetable fat, peanuts, sweetened condensed skimmed milk, maize, sugar, rice flour, cocoa mass, humectant, hydrogenated vegetable fat, salt demineralised whey powder, emulsifier, barley malt extract, flavouring. Includes traces of hazelnut.
I have been buying these for ages and no matter how many other kinds of cereal bar that I try, these are always the best by far. Whether you have them at breakfast time or just a a snack through the day, they are tasty and satisfying (though the multi pack bars are a little smaller than the individually bought ones which is a shame) snack that will satisfy both your hunger and your sweet tooth!
Summary: Stash them!
