Advantages: Not too sweet

Disadvantages: Not all flavours widely available

Geobars have recently been updated with new packaging and new flavours. I have yet to try the new honey and nut version which sounds good. My favourite flavour is the cranberry one which has the fresh fruity flavour of the cranberry and just the right amount of sweetness. I am put off many cereal bars by their sickly sweetness but geobars get it just right. I also like the apricot version but don't find it as special as cranberry. I have yet to try the chocolate version as I am not a big fan of chocolate and thought it might be too sweet.

The chocolate and apricot flavour multipacks are much more widely available in many supermarkets. Fairtrade shops are more likely to stock the whole range, or you can get them online at traidcraft.

I like to buy fairtrade products wherever possible, in order to help provide a more sustainable income and better living conditions for growers and producers. With geobars the price difference is not significant, and I prefer them to any other cereal bars I have tried so it is a win win situation!
