... these are the best. The actual crisps are in the shapes of what are suppose to resemble little alien space ships and various alien related things. They have a slight red, powdering coating that is of course the flavour. These crisps are a lot like Monster Munch; they have the same bulkiness and crunch to them and once you get chewing and your saliva collides with them then you end up with a sticky mess that gets stuck in every crevice and fold in your mouth. The flavour is surprisingly good for a bag of crisps that wou...more

These were the 'in' thing when I used to run the tuck shop in our school back in the day. I didn't think they were made any more but I came across them in my local Spar which pleased me. What pleased me even more was the fact that they were only 20p per packet. I bought two because I remembered how one bag was never enough! The crisps are made of maize and come in a couple of flavours although the ones I chose were the 'spicy' variety because in my opinion, these are the best. When it comes to crisps I don't want the same old flavour and brand all the time and sometimes grab a few bags of the cheaper puffy crisps in the shop by me. Today I brought a packet of Transform A Snack because I'd not had them in ages and fancied a bag for a change. The flavour I got was Spicy but you can get Cheese & Onion and Salt & Vinegar as well, but in my opinion the Spicy one is the best because it's got a lovely strong flavour and isn't actually as spicy as you'd think. They are baked corn snacks instead of potato crisps and have got a wicked texture that melts down in your mouth into a sticky mess, and i know that sounds ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Transform A Snack (TAS): Cheap N Tasty (248 words)

I have had these crisps after school so much as they are really cheap and were always in stock on the walk home. They are actually really tasty and considering they cost just 25p for a 28g pack, they're fantastic! The packet actually looks pretty big too - it's quite long and contains a good deal of crisps of all different shapes. The crisps are really light corn snacks but they do have quite a subtle yet tasty flavour. They are shaped as all different things including rings, H-shaped ones and more, which are meant to reprsent space equipment I think. They are quite messy and very fragile crisps as they are made of corn. The packet is filled with them to the ...  Read the complete review

When it comes to snacks I love them and for some reason I've always loved cheap food! I've just sat here pondering why and I reckon cos when I was a kid and growing up we only ever had good, expensive food actually! We never had a lot years ago but food was of the utmost importance in my home and when kids were eating this type of stuff in school breaks I was more likely to have prawns or melon or something! Nowadays of course I'm older and when it comes to what I eat I'm pretty much in control of it which is why today in my local Nisa store when I saw these priced at 25p a bag I decided to give them a whirl. (Just don't tell me Mother though) lol. The ...  Read the complete review

I LOVE cheap crisps. Don't ask me why. I've always been the same, even as a kid at the tuck shop i'd always opt for those 10p Postman Pat crisps or "bikers".. remember them? :-D Not only do I love cheap crisps, but I love crisps that are more of the "baked" variety than actual crispy crisps (normal crisps). Baked crisps include things like monster munch, wotsits, quavers, crunchy sticks, and these transform-a-snack crisps. I buy these snacks regularly, although it is usually the Pickled Onion Flavour. Being in my local shops today for a few bits and pieces, I spotted the "flamin hot" variety and decided I would ...  Read the complete review
