Advantages: Everything..I love them lol
Disadvantages: They are quite sweet
When it comes to chewing gum I'm a real fan of the stuff and can usually be found chewing, snoring or yakking away! My gob likes to run away with me that's always been my problem! The other day whilst I was out on my stock up and buy a load of gum mission I saw these reduced from the usual price of 59p reduced to 29p (in my local Nisa shop) and decided to try them out, although I'd never heard of lemon flavoured gum before lol so I was a bit wary I can tell you that much! lol
The Packaging....
Lemon coloured 'sleeve' with yellowy coloured bubbles on it. On the front in black and green writing I'm told it's Sugarfree Trident 'Fresh Coool Lemon flavour' and that it contains 9 gums. On the back of the sleeve I'm again told what they are, contact details for Cadbury Trebor basett are given (the manufacturer of Trident products), nutritional information, ingredients and allergy advice are listed as is a warning about eating to much maybe causing laxative effects, the best before date is clearly stamped on as is the recycle symbol displayed and finally there is a bar-code on there. Nice, bright packaging this is and the gums are lined up in rows of 3 in a foil tray the gums easily pop out of.
The Gums....
They kind of reminded me of Lockets in flavour at first! Lovely!!! Eating lockets when I was a kid cos I had a cold was the best part of being bed bound and off school lol. I wasn't allowed sweets and lockets became the next best thing! to me lol.
The gums themselves are white, quite thick and sort of an oblong shape. The outside of the gum is hard(ish) and you crunch through the kind of sugared white coating and the centre of the gum is alot softer with a small amount of lemon flavoured liquid in there to the centre of them.
These gums are simply wonderful and not at all what I expected! The lemon flavour in the gums is recognisable and natural and the gum gives a slight menthol kick to the proceedings. Put it this way you can certainly breath easier during and after chewing these but don't get me wrong they are mild as well and won't blow your head off if your out and about on a cold day say and a gust of wind hits you! I hope you understand that lol.
The flavours entwine well, the gum is soft enough to chew for hours and I find the flavour within this to stay in my mouth for about for a good hour although initially stronger in flavour at the beginning.
Overall....
I don't know who thought of fresh lemon flavouring in a chewing gum but it really is nice. Pleasantly sweet, not too citrusy or zingy this is really nice and that's it really lol. makes breath smell nice, is lovely in flavour and is basically a joy to chew gum and me...I'm off to treat myself to more of these whilst they're still on offer!
Usually found at about 59p a pack and very worth the money in my opinion!
Summary: Lush and unusual...these are!
