Advantages: Taste, long lasting
Disadvantages: Not great if you don't like lemon
I picked a pack of Trident Fresh Cool Lemon Flavour up earlier this week in the supermarket. I was at the end of my supermarket sweep esque (I throw everthing not available in France into my trolley) visit to asda which happens everytime I'm home when I spotted this chewing gum. I'm a huge fan of anything lemon flavoured so decided to give it a go.
~Packaging~
The chewing gum comes in a blister pack style packet which is covered by a cardboard sleeve. There are 9 pieces of chewing gum in each pack and they are all kept very fresh by the foil packaging. The package is yellow, obviously to emphasise the lemon flavour, and very eye-catching. Everything about the design seems to say fresh and summery which makes the product very appealing.
~Taste~
The first thing I should say is that if you aren't a lemon fan then I would strongly recommend you give these a miss. The chewing gum has a liquid centre so after the first bite your mouth is filled with a fantastic taste of lemon. The added mint flavour means that the flavour is not sour at all but merely fresh and cool as promised on the packet.Another excellent point is that the flavour genuinely does last without becoming stale or balnd. I find this a rarity in chewing gum so this is a great find. Yet as I said the flavour is quite pronouced which I like but others may not. The combination of lemon and mint works really well especially in liquid form as you really do get a rush of flavour.
Normally the chewing gum costs 50p a packet which is probably a little expensive for what is essentially 9 pieces of gum. However, I bought mine for just 9p which is obviously a bargain and, in my eyes, great value for a great product.
This chewing gum ticks all the boxes with great flavour, long lasting taste and as an added bonus it is also sugarfree. I'll definitely be buying this again.
