Advantages: Tastes of chocolate!

Disadvantages: Lots of nasty ingredients, not widely available

A friend recommended this to me, and although I don't usually chew gum, when I heard it was chocolate flavour I had to give it a try. The outer cardboard packaging is pretty eyecatching and the gum itself comes in little white rectangular pieces inside a plastic and foil inner. You pop the pieces out in much the same way as a paracetamol or vitamin.

The gum itself does taste chocolatey, but that only lasts for about a minute, and then it's really more minty from there on in. Still, it's pretty tasty, and if you need a chocolate kick without the calories, then this is for you. It has a hard outer shell and a soft inner part, so it's quite satisfying to chew on for the first few minutes while it all gets mingled up.

Not being a regular gum user, I don't know what goes into gum, but I have to say the ingredients list is pretty shocking. It has no less than 6 sweeteners in, including Aspartame which I usually avoid. There are also 6 different E numbers. Okay so it's gum not food, but still the ingredients put me off.

You'll be lucky to find this gum anywhere, as I can't find it in any supermarkets. The only place I have seen it is our local Quality Save, where it's on sale for the bargain price of 10p per pack.

Summary: At 10p a pack you can't go wrong!
