Description: Tunnocks Milk Chocolate Coated Caramel Wafer

Newest Review: ... wafers. So after dinner we sat down and each opened one of these delicious chocolate caramel delights. I have to say that ... more

... they haven't changed one bit in all those years they are just as lovely as before, needless to say they don't last very long we only have two left. They come in packs of eight and the outside wrapper is the same as the individually wrapped wafers, red and gold stripes and have the word Caramel right in the centre of the wrapper. Also on the wrapper is the address of the manufacturer which is in Uddington Scotland, they also state on there that they make and sell 5,000,000 of these biscuits per week which I find as...more

Premium Review Tunnock's Caramel Wafer: Roll up, roll up for this wonderful choc caramel wafer (335 words)

These wafers aren't usually the sort of thing I would go for, but the other day my wife came back with a pack of them. I am unsure as to how many of them there were, but she threw one at me, and I duly obliged in eating one. The first thing I thought was that the wrapper made it seem as if it was sponsored by a circus act! It has that Big Top feel to it, the red and yellow working to make me want to unwrap it. And this part couldn't be easier. Turning to the back, it is merely folded down as a flap, and the whole thing unfolds easily and opens out to reveal the wafer biscuit inside. It's quite a chunky thing, with compact layers of caramel and wafer ...  Read the complete review

Tunnocks Caramel Wafer I have always been more of a crisp man when it comes to snacks however I have as far back as I can remember I have always had a soft spot for these biscuits. I used to take these in my packed lunched when I went to school. Over the years I have sort of drifted away from them. But now thanks to the credit crunch and my awareness of saving money where I can Im now back on the packed lunches. One of the most welcome results from that is my rediscovery of Tunnocks Caramel Wafer bars. A bit about Tunnocks Tunnocks are family bakers from Uddington in Scotland. The bakery was founded in 1890 and expanded in 1950 to mass ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tunnock's Caramel Wafer: Wafers? Yes! Sticky caramel? Yes! Chocolate? Oh god yes! (963 words)

Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Chocolates This has to be one of my favourite chocolate bars; just a simple combination of chocolates and wafer does so much for my pleasure centre! There's no frills or anything added to it. It's just wafer and caramel. It is one of those bars that I can eat and fondly look back to my childhood, where my grandmother used to hand me one of those in an attempt to stop terrorizing her house with toys. ===- WHAT IS IT -=== A caramel wafer bar has 5 layers of wafer which in between each one has a layer of caramel, coated in milk chocolate. The milk chocolate is formed from condensed milk. They are available ...  Read the complete review

Where can I start - I'd never heard of Tunnock's products until I came to Scotland, and the Gala Day Boxes contained lots of sweet and very delicious things, like Snowballs ( chocolate covered soft mallow sprinkled with coconut and absolutely impossible to eat without getting in a mess!), Tunnock's Tea Cakes and Caramel wafers. Tunnock's has been a Family Bakers since 1890 and it is still owned by the family. In fact, I believe still run by the founder's grandson. The present modern factory is only 100 yards from the original site in Uddingston - OK all you people who don't live in Scotland (you don't know What you're missing!) and so you've probably ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Tunnock's Caramel Wafer: My childhood favourite. (346 words)

Tunnocks caramel wafers were one of my favourite treats as a child, so when I saw these on offer in my local costcutter I could not resist them. They are on offer in costcutters at the moment for 55p for a pack of four 30g bars, which is really good value for them. The packaging is in red and gold foil and quite old fashioned it also has an authentic feel to it, with a symbol of a "60's" child above the logo. Inside the wrapper you will find four individually paper wrapped chocolate wafer bars which are very easy to open and I find them ideal for my daughters packed lunch as she does not need help getting into them, therefor ...  Read the complete review
